Jake Paul has called off his boxing match with Tommy Fury after claiming Tyson Fury’s half-brother was “not interested and was literally hiding”.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer was set to face Fury at Madison Square Garden on August 6, but doubts about their fight crept in when the Brit was banned from traveling to America for her press conference.
Paul has since revealed on Twitter that he and his team had issued a termination notice to Fury after doing “everything” to arrange the fight.

Paul took to Twitter to say: “Fury has received a termination. MVP [Most Valuable Promotions] did everything to help him and his team. He wasn’t interested and literally hid.
‘2nd time in a row he moved out. For the 2nd time in a row, I will level up at short notice & attack a new opponent. 6TH OF AUGUST. MSG.’
The pair were due to settle their rivalry at Florida’s Amalie Arena in December, but Fury was forced to pull out with a broken rib and a chest infection.
As a result, their fight was rescheduled to August 6 at Madison Square Garden. However, Fury faced a stumbling block when attempting to enter America.
Fury was due to fly to the United States for a press conference to promote their fight but was denied entry.

Fury filmed a video explaining why he couldn’t fly to the US last month to promote the fight.
He said: ‘[I wanted to] Come here and break the record before someone else does.
“Me and my team arrived at Heathrow Airport this morning, ready for the press conference, ready to take off.
“And as soon as I entered the airport, I was pulled to one side and told by the Homeland Security officer who was there that my ESTA had been denied and I couldn’t go in for a reason I seem to know.” USA can travel knows.
“I can stand here and say I did absolutely nothing wrong and I have no idea why I’m not allowed to travel to the US.”
“I trained for a fight all the time and that’s all I did. I have no idea why they will not allow me to travel today, nor will any of my team or my lawyers.
“So now I have to go to the messages and all that stuff to try and resolve it and I’m in the middle of a workout guys I don’t know why that happened today – it’s a massive shock to me and my whole team.

Paul updated fans on the situation regarding Fury – and claimed his opponent was in hiding
“Obviously it’s an issue that needs to be resolved, it’s government issues, it’s a lot bigger than the fight at the moment and I’m trying to fix it, but I wanted to let you all know where it was.”
Responding to the backlash in their efforts to face off, Paul angrily tweeted, “Tommy no matter how hard you try to get out of this fight I will do everything in my power not to mess you up.”
“My team and partners have clarified the steps you must take to resolve your final apology. Take her or admit you’re a scared little bitch.”
Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions also confirmed in a statement that the press conference had to be postponed due to the situation surrounding Fury.
The statement read: “Despite many reassurances from Tommy Fury’s team that he could come to the US, and knowing that Tommy was in California only last month, we were surprised to learn that he had a problem on Monday had at Heathrow Airport.
“Due to circumstances beyond our control, the press conference scheduled for Wednesday at MSG has been postponed.
“We are working with our partners at SHOWTIME and Madison Square Garden and will share more information as we are able.”
Paul gave Fury a deadline to sort out his travel issues before calling off the fight
Paul took to Twitter again on June 30 to update fans on the situation – and claimed Fury was “in hiding”.
He said: “Tommy Fury is hiding. B***h done. Tyson Fury’s attorney never got in touch with my team when he set up an escrow for our $1 million bet. ‘Never believed in his brother. Have my team do one Hova (Jay-Z) and move on to the next.
He shared an accompanying video in which he was heard saying: “We spoke to Tommy Fury’s lawyers, they are all advising him to just go to the embassy to get his visa.
‘That’s all he has to do. But Tommy shows no urgency, he hasn’t left yet, he’s not telling us what he’s doing.
“This is another instance of Tommy Fumbles just being afraid to fight me. I think that’s it. I think the Fury family is trying to manipulate something to get me to fight in the UK.
“You want me to fight in Britain? Show me 15 million dollars. Because here in America, we’re doing more PPV purchases, more ticket sales, and more sponsorships.
Fury has yet to respond to the announcement, but Paul is already preparing for a fight against heavyweight Hasim Rahman Jr (pictured together above).
“I showed you the money, we’re ready to go. MSG Aug 6th. Tommy, are you going to miss the biggest payday of your life because you want me to go to the UK?
“I’ll come, just show me the money, but you can’t. That is embarrassing. Go to the embassy, get your visa, stop ducking me and stop wasting my time.”
Paul Fury then set a deadline – he claimed the fight would be abandoned if he hadn’t visited the American embassy before Wednesday morning.
He tweeted, “Tommy is officially out Wednesday morning unless he goes to the embassy/came out of hiding,” Paul tweeted. Three more opponents lined up. I’m built differently.”
After Wednesday’s deadline, Paul took to social media again to announce he had issued a “termination notice” to Fury.
Fury has yet to respond to the announcement, but Paul is already planning a fight against heavyweight Hasim Rahman Jr.
While Rahman Jr. hasn’t fought many big names while averaging a 12-1 record, his father famously knocked out Lennox Lewis to win the 2001 World Heavyweight Championship in one of the biggest upsets the sport has seen in years had experienced.
