Marvel Studios secretly broke the rules of time travel set by the Hulk in the Disney+ series Ms. Marvel” have been set.
Warning! Spoilers ahead for Mrs Miracle.
Marvel Studios has secretly broken the rules of time travel set by Smart Hulk Avengers: Endgame in the latest episode of Mrs Miracle. On the heels of Avengers: Infinity WarThe franchise’s harrowing ending, theories were born about how the MCU might progress after Thanos’ (Josh Brolin) snap. Most of them drew on the idea of time travel, which was ultimately the case when all six of the original Avengers and their allies went on the risky time-heist.
While time travel was the only clear way to undo Thanos’ snapshot, it was unknown until then exactly how this could be done Avengers: Endgame. Earth’s Mightiest Heroes took both Ant-Man’s (Paul Rudd) Quantum Realm technology and Iron Man’s (Robert Downey Jr.) genius to make this possible. Amidst this, the details of the time raid were still confusing, even for some of the heroes involved in the mission. Smart Hulk provided an explanation of how it worked. According to him: “When you travel into the past, that past becomes your future, and your past present becomes the past, which your new future cannot now change.”
The MCU’s time travel reigns supreme Avengers: Endgame are what stopped the Avengers from just making it seem like Thanos’ snap never happened. Phase 4, however, supplanted this idea Mrs Miracle Episode 5, “Over and Over”. In the penultimate part of the series, Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) is transported back to the night when her great-grandmother Aisha (Mehwish Hayat) mysteriously disappeared during the partition of India. With her last breath, Aisha sends Kamala to help lost young Sana (Zion Usman) reunite with her father in the chaotic train station. The story has been told before Mrs Miracle, but it was never clear how Sana could return to her father; Episode 5 of the series reveals that it was Kamala’s dedication that made this possible.
How Ms. Marvel breaks Hulk’s endgame time travel rules
As touching as that is, it blatantly goes against Smart Hulks final time Travel belief stating that no one can change the past by going back in time. For some time, Avengers: EndgameThe rules of time travel were a popular topic of conversation. There were different takes, and admittedly there’s still some confusion about it, especially as the film never really delved deeply into the matter. Smart Hulk’s explanation has been made as brief as possible. But the most important thing about the film is that it worked Avengers: Endgame‘s story in a way that doesn’t simply undo the events of Avengers: Infinity War, which would have cheapened the arc of the Infinity saga. For what it’s worth, the MCU’s time-travel explanation is rooted in real-world studies, as the majority of research points to as well. It just so happens that pop culture twisted the idea to use the concept of time travel more dramatically in movies and TV shows like Marvel Studios did Mrs Miracle.
That said, maybe Smart Hulk didn’t really know exactly how time travel worked. After all, the real world still doesn’t have a definitive explanation of how it works or if it’s even possible. Bruce Banner himself said that time travel was outside his area of expertise. Perhaps there are different ways that time travel can be achieved in the MCU, which is why their rules are different Avengers: Endgame and Mrs Miracle.
Mrs Miracle airs new episodes every Wednesday on Disney+.
