Colorful AIO with RTX 3060 laptop GPU
EJ Hardware reviews Colorful’s new AIO gaming system.
Chinese tech media team “EJ Hardware” has a sample of the colorful G-One Plus AIO gaming PC. This device made its debut last month and is now available for sale. This product is an all-in-one gaming system, which means that there is no standard PC case here, but a large monitor stand that hides all components except for the power supply (which is actually quite large at 330W is).

G-One features a custom motherboard for Intel Alder Lake-H mobile processors and NVIDIA’s RTX 3060 laptop GPU. Technically, this is a laptop connected to the monitor. Gamers can’t replace the processor or GPU, but standard SO-DIMM slots for DDR5 memory are here. Additionally, users can upgrade the PC with a secondary M.2 SSD and replace the M.2 WiFi card should the need ever arise.

The AIO PC is offered with three Alder Lake CPUs: Core i5-12500H (12 core), Core i7-12700H (14 core) or Core i9-12900H. The system tested by EJ Hardware is equipped with Core i5-12500H, which is the lowest-end version. The graphic, on the other hand, is the same for each configuration. This is the full power Max P variant of the GeForce RTX 3060 laptop graphics (ie 115W + Dynamic Boost). In the stress test, this GPU achieves a maximum board power of 134 W.
Colorful G-One has been tested in synthetic and gaming benchmarks (see the video below for the latter). The CPU behaves exactly as expected for a laptop of similar specs, but the GPU is a slightly different story.

In the 3DMark test, the PC scores 26,793 points in the FireStrike GPU test, which according to the NotebookCheck ranking is even better than the Core i7-12700H-based AUS TUF laptop with RTX 3060 GPU (23,109 points). That is in fact the highest score reported by the site.

This is an interesting product concept (though not entirely new). Gaming-ready AIO PCs could find use where space is at a premium, but a larger screen is still preferable. A student residence or internet cafes might be the first thing that comes to mind. The system EJ tested costs $1999, which is significantly more than the typical RTX 3060 laptop these days.
