Where to Buy AMD 7000 Series CPUs? AMD Zen 4 is coming soon and we wanted to create a sourcing and pre-order page where we would consolidate all of AMD’s latest generation CPUs into one page.

AMD Zen 4, codenamed “Raphael,” is AMD’s latest CPU generation that promises to overturn everything we currently know about AMD CPUs. Reports are coming in that indicate Zen 4 will feature SKUs with massive improvements over Zen 3.

Featuring instructions per clock (IPC) improvements of up to 18%, peak frequency increases of up to 5.5GHz, and all-core frequency increases of up to 12%. That’s a huge improvement over the already well-designed and incredibly efficient Zen 3 CPU generation.

Zen 4 CPU release date

dr AMD CEO Lisa Su has announced that the release date for both Zen 4 CPUs and AM5 motherboards is planned for fall 2022, which means Ryzen 7000 CPUs could hit shelves as early as September 2022.

AMD Zen 4 predicted SKUs

There isn’t much information available on Zen 4 SKUs and AMD hasn’t announced anything yet. However, we can predict which SKUs will be available at launch by looking at historical data.

We believe the Zen 4 SKUs launching in September will be.

Ryzen 5 7600X
Ryzen 7 7800X
Ryzen 9 7900X
Ryzen 9 7950X

So, just like the 5000-series, we expect the 7700X to launch shortly after the launch of the first wave of 7000-series CPUs. This is unfortunate as the x700X CPU usually offers better value for money than the other CPUs.

AMD Ryzen 7000 Zen 4 specifications

Zen 4 is the next advancement in AMD’s CPU architecture and this requires a hardware upgrade to support it such as: B. the AM5 socket motherboard, DDR5 and a new technology to support DDR5 known as EXPO (extended profiles for overclocking).

Zen 4 will likely bring the same family of CPUs that we’re used to, and those would be the following.

Ryzen 9
Ryzen 7
Ryzen 5
Ryzen 3

Along with the smaller nm process bringing more power, there is an interesting leak from the Twitter user’s Bits and Chips that says the new architecture will also bring more cores for the CPUs.

We will see Zen4/5 CPUs with 24 cores on AM5 sockets. Likely the SKUs listed will be:
Ryzen 9 = 24/20 core
Ryzen 7 = 16/12 core
Ryzen 5 = 8/6 core
Ryzen 3 = 4/2 core

In the tweet, the leaker says.

“We will see Zen4/5 CPUs with 24 cores on AM5 sockets. Likely the SKUs listed will be:

Ryzen 9 = 24/20 core
Ryzen 7 = 16/12 core
Ryzen 5 = 8/6 core
Ryzen 3 = 4/2 core”

All Zen 3-based Ryzen CPUs have a maximum of 16 cores, so this is a huge upgrade, although more cores and threads don’t always mean better performance, so it remains to be seen what impact this will have.

However, if this is true, it will be an extraordinary feat of engineering. We don’t think the Ryzen 9 will realistically contain 24/20 CPU cores. But just because we don’t believe it’s true doesn’t mean it isn’t true. Bits And Chips is a very credible leaker with many correct predictions.

We’ve also dug up some price estimates, which of course are subject to change as we get more information about the 7000-series CPU lineup. We used data from the launch of the 5000 series to predict the prices of the new Zen 4 CPUs.

Zen 4 will be one of the best CPU versions we will ever see. With AM4 done as well as it was and lasting well over five long years, AM5 has some pretty big shoes to fill.
