Cancellations are also on the rise, with Delta canceling three flights from FLL on Friday, American canceling two flights and JetBlue hacking one.
At Miami International, 64 American flights are delayed with 12 cancellations, six Delta flights are delayed with four cancellations, and nine United flights are delayed with one cancellation.
And at Palm Beach International, as of Friday afternoon, 12 JetBlue flights are delayed, one of which is cancelled, 12 Delta flights are delayed, 10 American Airlines flights are delayed and two United flights are delayed.
The situation is expected to worsen over the weekend. Delta Airlines announced on Friday morning that passengers could rebook free of charge in the next few days. The policy change appears to be an attempt to reduce passenger numbers. All airlines face massive staff shortages when it comes to deals and cancellations.
