MLB All-Star Game: Aaron Judge leads all vote winners as Yankees, Blue Jays and Dodgers land two starters each

On Friday night, Major League Baseball announced the seeders for the 2022 All-Star Game to be held Tuesday, July 19 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. The voting results of the league’s two-stage voting process for the All-Star Game were announced during a live broadcast.

The top two voters in each position (and four outfield players) advanced to Stage 2 of the voting process. Fans voted this week to determine which position players will start in later this month and the polls closed on Friday afternoon. The remainder of the All-Star roster, including the American League and National League pitching staffs, will be announced Sunday, July 10. As part of this year’s voting process, the leading vote collector in each league will be allowed to skip Phase 2 and automatically receive an All-Star Game slot. Yankees slugger Aaron Judge led all players with 3,762,498 votes and is starting for the American League for the fourth time (also in 2017, 2018 and 2021). Brave’s prodigy Ronald Acuña Jr. led the National League with 3,503,188 votes. This is his third consecutive All-Star Game start order. The Cardinals’ Albert Pujols and the Tigers’ Miguel Cabrera have both been named All-Stars via a “special selection” designation.

So here are the 2022 MLB All-Star Game starters voted for by the fans.
