Here’s a small portion of the comments he made about each of his five finalists.

On what’s left of his Penn State official: “Just the family environment. Just being with everyone – the players, the staff, the people on campus – you realize everyone is just one big family and everyone cares and loves each other. That caught my eye.”

On the other defenders in Notre Dame’s 2023 senior class: “They bring a lot of good guys with them. They are all tough. I hear a lot from them too. It would be good to come in and play with them. We’re all in the same class too. It would definitely be fun to play with them. I definitely got a lot of recruitment from them as well.

On his biggest takeaways from speaking to the Michigan players and coaches: “In development. Keep building on what you started. They have a great history in football. They just won the Big Ten, so you can see they’re all trending and trying to build on that.”

As for what stood out during his visit to Maryland, “I would say how their program is really set up. You could say it. Each season they continue to build and become more successful. Starting with (head) trainer (Mike) Locksley, he’s doing a great job with this program. It’s easy to see that I can stay home and get on with the program, it’s definitely good to do.”

On the biggest takeaways from his visit to Ohio State: “It was easy for me to see all the possibilities. On the field, of course, developed by a great defensive line coach. But also to see the opportunities outside of the field in training that really existed, which I really didn’t know much about beforehand. So going out to see all of these opportunities for me was outstanding.”

As of Wednesday night, all six Rivals FutureCast predictions had predicted Moore to pick Ohio State. The Buckeyes currently have 16 commitments in their 2023 class, which is ranked No. 2 in the country.
