Hy-Vee grocery store is voluntarily taking back potato salad before July 4th

Hy-Vee announced on Friday that it is retiring all varieties and sizes of its potato salad. The company said this was due to a suspected positive microbial result on the line that processed the potatoes. “Although final test results are not expected for approximately 7-10 days, due to the holiday weekend, Hy-Vee has decided to withdraw all products from its shelves and service cases today pending final test results,” Hy-Vee said in a statement. The voluntary take-back includes all flavors and all sizes of Hy-Vee Potato Salad and Mealtime Potato Salad sold in refrigerated take-out boxes and/or deli-service boxes at all Hy-Vee, Hy-Vee Drugstore and Dollar Fresh Market locations are available—as well as us and Hy-Vee Fast and Fresh convenience stores—in the company’s eight states in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin. The expiration dates are between July 31, 2022 and August 4, 2022. The following list shows the withdrawn products. Other Hy-Vee or Mealtime branded salads are not affected. So far there have been no reports of illnesses or ailments related to the products to which this withdrawal relates.
